Adrian just graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in geology. He helped out in the first field period (23rd May to 20th June 2012). He is pictured here on the way back to Longyearbyen after our first trip out to Fardalen when we found no water.

Alix is a masters student in hydrology at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble. She joined the sampling team for the last week of the first field period and for the whole of the second field period (22nd July to 7th August) . She is pictured rinsing out the water sampling container before filling it up with a sample.
